Haven. Ryan asked if we could have a report from each group at next District Meeting. Archives: Mary Ann -nothing to report Correctional and Treament Facilities: Rick G. looking for someone to step up for Schuylkill County Women's Prision. Clearence forms for prision commitments: Rick G.-Mahanoy prison; Emery G.-Frackville prison; Dave R-Federal and Schuylkill County Prision. 5P is doing well. Please come to 5P Wednesdays at 5:45pm meet in front of Gift Shop at the Pottsville Hospital. Professional Committee- Steve Z. DCM Report: Group changes must be in by February for directory, Mini-Assembly Planning Committee needs help-January 18, 2009; 9:30am-3:30pm at the River Inn, new GSR's register w/ GSO, 7th Tradition contributions changing from Jim F. Steve Z can get literature for Corrections

New Business: Any group changes (name, place, etc) please make promptly with GSO. Change account name on phone bill, new lease for district meeting place, key waiver Steve Z. and Brendt G.

Old Business: Tuesday night at the roundhouse is it an AA meeting or Bridge facility meeting? Where does the 7th traditiongo? DCM will speak to Elaine.

District Minutes

CALL TO ORDER: 6:05 PM, October 10, 2008

TRADITION: 10^th Tradition – Mike S.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: September and August minutes were read and accepted by all. Problems continue to be noted with minutes failing to be e-mailed out.

ANNIVERSARIES: Ryan S. 3 years, Charlie Mc 14 years, “Uncle” Bill R. 14 years.

DCM REPORT: Steve Z. filled in for Annie at Area Day, handouts were distributed regarding workshops.

· Please keep BJ and his family in your prayers; he passed away on 9/28 following illness.

· Group changes: The area treasurer and address will change with the upcoming vote. If your home group name changed, but you keep the same group number, put the name and number on your donations to area so records can be kept accurately.

· By 3/15/09 all group changes, phone numbers, etc must be in so they are documented correctly in the directory.

ADCM: No Report.

SECRETARY: No report.

ARCHIVES: Need to purchase items for display at the convention. Approval of use of district funds: Unanimous.

TREASURER REPORT: Balance: $313.12; errors are noted between bank statement and check logs. Monies received as follows:

· $50.00 cash – Mahanoy City

· $50.00 cash – Road to Recovery

· $100.00 money order – Anonymous

· $100.00 check – Came to Believe

Ending Balance: $613.12

TREATMENT AND CORRECTIONS: Dave R. reporting: Men’s meeting is going well at the Schuylkill County Prison. Sign up sheets are needed to take into the warden. Dave is meeting with the warden on Monday to determine a day for the women’s meeting. Donations are needed for the women’s meeting of books, literature, meeting lists for different areas, etc. *Recommended that 2 years of continuous sobriety before taking a prison commitment.

WEB SERVANT: Not present.

GROUP PROBLEMS: Tuesday night Roundhouse meeting in Pottsville is questioning what it must do in order for it to become a group? Representatives were directed to register as a group and follow traditions.

OLD BUSINESS: None

CONFERENCE: Please announce at group level that this is the 50^th anniversary of the convention, and a voting year. DCM and ADCM will be attending the convention.

District Minutes

CALL TO ORDER: 6:00 PM, 9/12/08

TRADITION: 9^th Tradition – Mike S.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Deferred

ANNIVERSARIES: Dave Mc., 32 years.

DCM REPORT: Calendar of events:

· Sept. 14^th – Area meeting in Bloomsburg.

· Sept. 25^th – Area Day in Collingdale.

· December Area meeting (St. Kevin’s Church, 200 West Sproul Road, Springfield PA) will be attended by the incoming DCM.

ADCM: No Report.

SECRETARY: No report.

ARCHIVES: Not present.

TREASURER REPORT: Not Present. Checks received as follows:

· $100.00 – Anonymous.

· $100.00 – Mt. Carmel East Side Group.

TREATMENT AND CORRECTIONS: Dave R. and Steve Z. are going into Schuylkill County Prison to bring the Men’s Meeting. The need is open to have someone take a Women’s Meeting into the prison. Dave R. accepted nomination as Coordinator for prisons. There is a need for pocket size 12 & 12’s in the prison.

WEB SERVANT: Not present.

OLD BUSINESS:

INTERGROUP: Steve Z. and Mary Ann B. attended the Northeast PA Intergroup Meeting. Suggestion is to look elsewhere in order to have needs better met. Possibly working with Area 59 and Area 42 to form another Intergroup. Please take this back to the groups for discussion.

NEW BUSINESS:

· Workshop to take place 9/20 at the Terry Reilly Building, 12^th St. Pottsville from 12 PM to 6:45 PM. Topics: “Do You Think You’re Different?” “Questions and Answers on Sponsorship”, and “AA for Women”. Speakers are Viola, Rose, and Nadine.

· Tuesday Night Schuylkill Haven group to meet at Bethany Christian Church on 9/23.

CONFERENCE: Please announce at group level that this is the 50^th anniversary of the convention, and a voting year. DCM and ADCM will be attending the convention.
