Many people end up getting sober after being introduced to Alcoholics Anonymous in a treatment or correctional facility. Our collective experience has shown that people who are discharged and start attending AA meetings right away have a better chance on maintaining their sobriety that they have acquired from being in a supervised environment.
We have a program within AA that aims to minimize the gap in time from when someone is released from one of the mentioned faculties and attending these meetings on the outside. The program is called Bridging the Gap and is made of a group of AA members who wish to volunteer to provide temporary contact and help for those recently released.
If you are newly sober and are just getting released from a facility and want to use the Bridging the Gap program please fill out the form below and someone from our district will get in touch with you!
